I’ve grown up with Disney and have always dreamt about the possibility of working at Disneyland from a production and social media standpoint . Being an Associate Social Media Producer for the company has been a dream come true, and sometimes, I still have to remind myself that I’m not dreaming.
Being able to ideate and collaborate with such a creative, talented, and hardworking team is something I do not take for granted. I am also grateful for the opportunity to walk into Disneyland every day and constantly create content for their social video channels (TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube). Being able to see my projects through from ideation to production has been a great opportunity for me to tie in all of the skills I’ve gained from my previous job experiences.
Working at The Walt Disney’s Company subsidiary network, Freeform (formerly known as ABC Family) was such an unexpected but memorable opportunity. I grew up watching The Fosters, Pretty Little Liars, Jane by Design, GREEK— you name it.
It’s one thing to fangirl about the network as a teenager, but to be able to give back and produce creatives for it is a whole other feeling. Producing and editing content for Freeform’s marketing team has not only exposed my work to millions of viewers but has also broadened my horizons to the different types of platforms out there. I’ve created content that has gone on Hulu, the Times Square digital screens in NYC, heck - even the TV screens at Costco! I’ve become more open-minded and willing to take on different projects since working on this team.
Working at WEBTOON has exposed me to other creative fields that have helped me grow into the Marketing Coordinator I am today.
On top of managing the WEBTOON social media pages (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, etc.), I have also made many creatives for the company - GIFs, static images, and short animations that are posted on social. I’ve produced and edited several videos that have been uploaded to the Official YouTube channel. And I have just finished working on my second clothing line of Official WEBTOON merchandise.
Working at the Nickelodeon Animation Studios reeled me into Social Media and Marketing.
Being able to speak and make content for a large community (whether it be in-studio or to the millions of Nickelodeon fans out there) was truly rewarding. Helping ideate and create digital content (graphics, web designs, GIFs, videos) for the company’s social media accounts was a thrill. Being able to livestream and live-tweet during the Kids Sports Awards back in 2019 was an experience I’d never forget.
One of my favorite things about working for Cloud Food Creations was being able to watch and help the company grow into what it is today.
Photographing, designing, and capturing videos for social media, marketing, and paid advertising was very rewarding. Building the Official Cloud Food Creations website and giving my creative direction helped shaped the Cloud Food brand and aesthetic. Managing the social media pages allowed me to establish relationships with other food vendors and businesses at various events.
Being the Lead Graphic Designer for the Game Day Truck was exciting, yet challenging.
I am very familiar with creating digital media— but learning to adapt to print was a nice change of pace. I created the layout and exterior design for the Game Day Truck. I also produced creatives that were used for consumer-facing products (such as waiting cards, flyers, coupons, etc.) and social media.
